In 2009 was er een eerste samenwerking tussen Mensurabilis en het Antwerpse Maagdenhuismuseum. Tijdens de Museumnacht werd het sonnet van de Faustina Beeldengroep na 375 jaar opnieuw ten gehore gebracht dankzij transcriptiewerk door het ensemble.
Mensurabilis and the Maagdenhuismuseum of Antwerp worked together for the first time in 2009. During the “Night of the Museum”, the ensemble performed the sonnet of the Faustina Statue, 375 years after its inception, thanks to their transcription work.
De samenwerking werd verdergezet en als huisensemble verzorgen de dames jaarlijks een concert binnen de muren van het oude meisjesweeshuis.
The partnership continues and the ladies perform at least once a year within the walls of the former orphanage for girls.
Het onderzoek dat werd verricht naar de muziek die er geklonken kan hebben, is nu gebundeld in deze publicatie met bijhorende CD.
The research related to the music that may have sounded there, is now collated in this publication with CD.
